The 2025 Captain’s Day, hosted by Mr. Jan Zadruzynski, recently reelected Captain of the Club for his second year, was played on October 17th 2025 in Individual Stableford format. Before the tournament Jan started his 2nd year of Captaincy with a “Drive In” from the club terrace.
This year Rune Nilsen won the trophy in the Men’s Category with 41 points. Michael Atwood came second with 38 points and Joe McKelvey third with 37 points.
In the Ladies Category Edna Graneli won the trophy with 40 points and Eliis Näro finished second with 39 points. The battle was tight for the third position as both Julie Owen and Sheelagh Maloney finished their rounds with 38 points, but Sheelagh had 21 points in the second 9 holes and Julie 18. Therefor the third prize was for Sheelagh Maloney.
The Nearest to Pin prizes were won by Roger Kemp on hole 9 and Kiki Bach on hole 3 and the prize for Nearest to pin in 2 shots on hole 8 was won by Stephen Cullen.
After golf, a beautiful 3-course meal was served to more than 80 members and guests with Mark Connor in charge of the entertainment.
