Hello Everyone,
Can you believe it is the festive holiday season already? What an incredible year it has been,packed with great news and wonderful surprises for the golf club! My staff and I couldn’t be happier, and we are all excited about the future.
Our maintenance team are currently busy making some changes on the golf course. We are renovating all the bunkers and putting in new sand. This process starts by taking out the old sand and cleaning out the drainage system that is at the bottom of each bunker. Then, we install the new sand and groom it at least three times to pack it in so that it is consistent with all the other bunkers. Hopefully, weather permitting, we should be finished by the end of the year with all the bunkers.
I have also implemented with my maintenance staff hand cutting the greens every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You will see an improvement of the speed, so I will make sure the holes are cut on flat areas and easy positions on the greens. I promise!
I am again pleased to report that we now have 217 members, with 66 on the waiting list. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members’ committee for welcoming all new members and for looking after the existing members. I can honestly say that the ambiance here at the golf club is the best since I have been here. The weekly competitions are full, and all members enjoy playing with different people each week, something I love to see.

Please also remember that at our El Olivo restaurant you can find each month a special “Limited-Edition Hamburger”. This month try out our Winter Fish Sandwich, including juicy fried Rosada fillet, mashed peas and a creamy tartare sauce, washed down with a chilled Magners cider, and in January we will again have the Crispy Chicken Burger with Ranch dressing, voted back by the public. You don’t want to miss them!
