This September, Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort invites guests to experience another memorable evening of Dining with Live Opera, bringing together fine dining and the beauty of live opera in an intimate setting.
At the heart of the evening will be Alba Chantar, the acclaimed singer from Ronda whose career has taken her from the stages of Málaga to some of Spain’s most prestigious opera and concert venues.
Alba began her vocal studies in Málaga under the guidance of Francisco Heredia and graduated in Singing from the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga in 2016. Since then, she has continued to refine her artistry through masterclasses with renowned figures from the world of opera and music, including Carlos Álvarez, Kennedy Moretti, Ana Luisa Chova and Rubén Fernández-Aguirre.
Her talent has been recognised with numerous awards throughout her career, including the Prize for Best Zarzuela Performer at the 35th Concurso Internacional de Canto Ciudad de Logroño, as well as distinctions in several national competitions for young performers.
Her professional career has seen her collaborate with leading orchestras including the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta Sinfónica de Córdoba, ORCAM and Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa. She has also performed under the baton of distinguished conductors and on the stages of renowned theatres such as the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, ABAO Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao, Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, Gran Teatro de Córdoba and Teatro Cervantes in Málaga.
Her repertoire encompasses some of opera’s most beloved roles, including Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Despina in Così fan tutte, Gilda in Rigoletto, Norina in Don Pasquale and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas. She has also performed major works from the oratorio repertoire, including Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Orff’s Carmina Burana, among others.
More recently, Alba has taken part in the recovery of the opera Margot, alongside the Orquesta Sinfónica de Córdoba, a project that will soon be released to the public.
For this special evening, her voice will provide the perfect soundtrack to an elegant dinner at El Mirador Terrace, creating an experience that brings together gastronomy, music and the unmistakable atmosphere of Marbella.
