As you have read already, On Friday, April 1st, we hosted the 2022 Bob Naify Trophy at Marbella Golf Country Club. The overall winner was a Lady Member, Dulcinea Antonsson – our most sincere Congratulations to her!Members of Mr. Naify’s family were delighted to present the trophy to Dulcinea and pledged their full support in our efforts to increase the Lady Membership numbers.
On Thursday April 14th we played our fixture versus the Ladies from Miraflores on a beautiful, sunny day. The match had been postponed because of the devastating Calima wind storms, that deposited hundreds of tons of sand, all over the Costa del Sol. MGCC Ladies won the match again and our “Spring Chickens” (ladies entitled to play off the logs) showed their formidable, match winning talents. Also, a special mention to Julie, “the putting queen”, and Anita, the most consistent player in the team. Miraflores Ladies said how much they enjoyed playing on our course and they thought that the post-match meal was first class. Well Done to Everyone!
Another reminder to put 3 dates in your diary AND SIGN UP to play in the Texas Scramble Ladies Golf tournaments, that have been organized to encourage our regular Lady Members, at no cost, to team up with Abbey Gittings Academy Ladies as well as lady members of other clubs too.
