Our annual President’s Cup tournament was held on Wednesday May 6th 2026, where 44 members and guests competed for the trophy. Our Club President, Mr. Steve Cullen, oversaw the awards ceremony and welcomed everyone to a lovely luncheon on our fabulous Mirador Terrace.
This year’s winners were after some hard-fought battles:
Category A, hcp 0-22,0:
- 1st prize and trophy cup winner: Roger Williams with 39 points.
- 2nd prize: David Wadmore with 38 points.
- 3rd prize: Marwan Tarazi with 35 points, but with 18 on the back nine holes beating narrowly Roger Samways, who only had 16 points on the back 9.
Category B, hcp 22,1 and above:
- 1st prize: Edward Ball with 38 points and 20 on the back nine holes.
- 2nd prize: Stephen Gilks also with 38 points but only 16 on the back nine holes.
- 3rd prize: Julie Owen with 37 points and with 18 points on the back nine beating narrowly Paul Jones who had 17 on the back 9.
The best guest result went to Philip Reynolds with 29 points. The men’s nearest to pin prize on hole 9 was won by Paul Judson and Ladies’ nearest to pin on hole 11 by Julie Owen.
