Welcome to our June Ladies Corner Newsletter!
We can finally say that summer has arrived and thanks to our wonderful Marbella microclimate, we are enjoying nice daily temperatures for a perfect round of golf at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort.
May and June are very busy months, packed with various events starting from our usual three weekly competitions to our very special President’s Cup Tournament, Abbey Gittings ladies’ lessons, wine tasting & gourmet pairing event, a TaylorMade fitting day, Higuerón Beach Club opening and Morning Yoga classes coming soon. Just when you thought there was nothing going on for the Ladies!!!
New Ladies
A very warm welcome to our newest member, Tracy Pelosi. We are delighted to have you join our golfing community and look forward to seeing you on the course.
I also wanted to say a super well done to Anita Cullen and Paulette Koper-Stallman for their comeback on the golf course after their injuries, well done ladies on your recovery.
Ladies Away Day – Golf Torrequebrada
Our Ladies Away Day at Torrequebrada was great fun, despite the rain all participants maintained a positive attitude throughout the day, completing all 18 holes before enjoying a lovely lunch. Every lady received a prize in recognition of both their achievements and determination in such challenging weather conditions.
Ana Nyblom kindly provided all participants with a voucher to return and play this beautiful golf course again. We are therefore delighted to announce that we will be returning to Torrequebrada very soon!
Upcoming Interclub Matches
Aloha Golf Club: Our next Ladies Interclub Match will take place at Aloha Golf Club. This is a fantastic opportunity for our ladies to play at this beautiful and exclusive member’s club. Looking forward to this full day event!
Tuesday, 14th July – Away match at Aloha Golf Club
Los Naranjos: This is a new event added to the 2026 ladies’ calendar, it is one of the top golf courses in Marbella and we should be very proud to have them as a new addition to our now very busy ladies calendar.
Monday, 7th September – Away match at Los Naranjos, tee time 10:00 am
Wednesday, 9th September – Home match at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort, tee time 11:10 am
President’s Cup Tournament 2026
The President’s Cup Tournament was held on Wednesday, 6th May 2026. Our Club President, Mr. Steve Cullen, did an excellent job overseeing the prize presentation and welcoming everyone. Prizes were awarded in two categories, Category A (Handicap 0-22) and Category B (Handicap 22.1 and Above) same as in previous years and once again the tournament proved to be a great success.
Congratulations to Julie Owen for winning 3rd Prize in Category B with 37 points and Ladies Nearest the Pin. Well done!
New Yoga Classes at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort
I am delighted to announce that Lisa Watson has launched a new program of Morning Yoga Classes on Tuesdays & Fridays.
The first classes took place on Friday 12th & Tuesday 16th June, from 9:30am to 10:30am, on the stunning El Mirador Terrace at our Clubhouse.
Please note: Participation is limited, advance booking is required and a minimum of four participants is needed for the class to go ahead.
The Tuesday sessions have been specifically scheduled to enable our members to attend, I really hope many of you will support this exciting new addition to our club’s program.

The Beach Club of Higuerón Resort
For those of you still not aware, Higuerón Beach Club had the season opening on Friday 5th of June, a seaside retreat where you can unwind and savor their delicious cuisine created by Diego Gallegos to the infinity pool, the Balinese beds and the sun loungers by the sea. TaylorMade Fitting Day
Last Wednesday, June 18th, Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort hosted an exclusive TaylorMade Fitting Day, giving golfers the opportunity to discover and purchase clubs tailored to their game. Next Fitting Day will be scheduled for September.
Ladies Coaching with Abbey Gittings
I would also like to remind all our ladies that here at Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort we are fortunate to have Abbey Gittings, a professional golfer, women’s golf advocate and author of the number one bestselling golf book – The Little Pink Golf Book. @little_pink_golf_book
Abbey continues to offer her popular Ladies Group Coaching Sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 11:00am. I am also pleased to announce that Abbey has resumed offering one-to-one coaching sessions.
